Find a doctor, hospital or other provider

The Aetna Medicare Advantage plan for 2023 is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO). You have the freedom to see any licensed provider or hospital as long as they are eligible to receive Medicare payment and accept your plan. With over 1,000,000 network doctors and specialists, and over 4,000 network hospitals that accept the Aetna Medicare Advantage plan, yours likely does too.

Steps to find all contracted providers in your area

  1. Select the "Find doctor or hospital" button.
  2. Under "Continue as guest," enter your location and search distance. Then select "Search."
  3. On the next screen, you'll be prompted to select a plan. Select "Skip plan selection."
By skipping the plan selection, your search results will include a list of all Aetna contracted providers in your area.
  4. Follow the instructions on the next page to search for a specific provider or by category.

Your share of the cost is the same for any provider, even if they're not in the Aetna network. You'll never need a referral to see a specialist, and your coverage follows you wherever you travel, nationwide. Plus, you’re covered for urgent and emergency care, worldwide.

Your plan doesn’t require a primary care physician (PCP), but it’s a good idea to have one. A PCP can recommend age-appropriate tests, screenings and vaccinations that can help you stay healthy.

Effective 1/1/22 Carle Foundation Hospital will no longer be participating in the HMO TRAIL program.

Alternate participating hospitals are found in the provider search function.
